We are at a key point in delivering a new Local Plan to set the Borough’s Growth strategies for the next 15 years. This new post is to programme manage the emerging Local Plan progress contributing to work relating to the monitoring, evaluating and ongoing review of the Local Development Scheme and work programmes to ensure that the emerging Plan stays on target.
The emerging Plan needs to be consistent with central government current and emerging policies (including legislation) and the post will need to research and provide information, advice and support on the emerging Plan and new policy formation to ensure consistency with the national frameworks.
The post will be key to aligning the emerging Plan with specific infrastructure needs both at the local and wider national projects.
