We’re Hiring: Senior Finance Officer / Finance Business Partner
Hybrid - Bury St Edmunds | Band F (£38,220–£41,771)
Contract – Full time / Secondment (part time possibility)
Local Government East (LGE) is looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Finance Officer / Finance Business Partner to help shape our financial strategy and support our mission to strengthen local government across the East of England.
What you’ll do
- Lead regular financial reporting and forecasting
- Support annual budget setting and 3‑year financial planning
- Support year‑end accounts and external audit process
- Provide expert financial advice to senior leaders and budget holders
- Drive high‑quality financial governance and risk management
What you’ll bring
- ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA / AAT Level 4 (or working towards)
- Strong experience in budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong Excel skills
