Programme Manager
Temporary Contract up to 24 months
Salary Grade 10 £51,356 rising to £54,495
This is an exciting opportunity to join Uttlesford District Council at a pivotal time. As Programme Manager, you will lead one or more programmes within our Corporate Programme, driving strategic change and delivering outcomes that make a real difference to our residents and communities.
You will build compelling business cases, establish programme governance, manage risks and issues, and embed project and programme management practice across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will influence and shape critical programmes that support the Council’s transformation journey.
Working closely with the Head of Transformation & Projects, you will take a leadership role within the team and manage up to three officers within the project management and business analysis disciplines.

About You
- We’re looking for an experienced programme management professional with:
- Expert knowledge of programme and project management methodologies
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- A track record of delivering major change programmes in complex environments
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Relevant qualifications such as APM Practitioner or equivalent are desirable, and we welcome candidates who are working towards these or willing to obtain them.
